What this is
Monty's Bone Pile is an educational project about peptide science. It is not a clinic, a pharmacy, a compounding facility, a telehealth service, a vendor, an affiliate, or a broker. It has no commercial relationship with anyone who sells anything discussed on this site, and it does not intend to acquire one.
Everything published here is free. There is no membership tier above the public one, no paid course, no email gate, and no account. If you have found a version of this material behind a paywall, it is not ours.
The school and the community
These are two different things and this page governs only one of them. Being clear about which is which matters more than it might appear, so it gets said plainly rather than buried.
The school is the curriculum published on this site: the lessons, the reference tools, and the standards on this page. It is written, edited, dated, and answerable. Everything below about evidence grading, refusals, and corrections applies to it in full.
The community is the Discord. It is a members' space, and it works the way peptide communities actually work: people discuss sources and resellers, organise group buys, run raffles, compare test results, and talk about what is working for them. That is a legitimate and useful thing for a community to be, and it is not a curriculum.
What we publish holds to the standards on this page. What members say to each other is theirs. The school does not review, endorse, verify, or underwrite the contents of the server, does not organise or guarantee group buys, and does not vouch for any seller discussed in it. If you join, you are joining a community of people making their own decisions, not receiving guidance from an institution.
We are telling you this because the alternative is worse. A site that claims a spotless editorial posture and then hands you an invite to a room full of group buys has misled you about what it is, and you would rightly stop trusting everything else it said. The curriculum is careful. The community is a community. Both things are true.
What we teach
Four things, in order of how much of the curriculum they occupy:
- Mechanism. What a compound is structurally, what it binds to, and what happens downstream. Mechanism is durable knowledge; it remains true when the compound of the month changes.
- Arithmetic. Units, concentrations, conversions. This is not glamorous and it prevents more harm than anything else on the site.
- Document literacy. How to read a certificate of analysis, a label, a study abstract, and a regulatory listing, and how to identify what each one fails to say.
- Epistemics. How to tell the difference between a mechanism that is plausible, a result that is preliminary, and a claim that is unsupported. Most of the damage in this field is done by confident sentences.
What we refuse to teach
These are not soft preferences. They are the conditions under which this school is willing to exist at all.
- Vendor names, links, or rankings in the curriculum
- The lessons do not name sellers, rank them, or review them. PEP 301 teaches you how to read what a vendor hands you; it will never tell you which vendor to read. This is a rule about the published curriculum, not about what members discuss among themselves.
- Personalised protocols
- We will not tell you what to take, how much, or for how long. Nobody who cannot examine you and read your bloodwork is in a position to answer that question, ourselves included.
- Dosing recommendations presented as guidance
- Where doses appear in the curriculum, they appear as worked arithmetic or as figures from published literature, explicitly labelled as such. A number in a lesson is an illustration of a calculation, never an instruction.
- Medical advice
- We are not clinicians and this is not a consultation. Where the honest answer is "see a doctor", that is the answer we give.
- Claims we cannot support
- No before-and-afters, no testimonials, no cures, no "clinically proven" attached to something that has not been.
- Anything aimed at minors
- This material is written for adults.
How we handle evidence
Peptide research is unevenly distributed. Some compounds have three phases of human trials behind them; others have one rodent study and a great deal of enthusiasm. Flattening that difference is the most common failure in writing about this field, so we grade it explicitly and we use consistent language to do it.

Three further commitments follow from this:
- We report the strength of a finding, not just its direction. An effect in eleven subjects is described as an effect in eleven subjects.
- We state what a study cannot establish alongside what it can.
- Where the honest position is uncertainty, uncertainty is what gets published, including when a more confident sentence would be more useful to the reader.
The most useful thing a teacher can say about many of these compounds is that nobody knows yet. It is also the sentence that gets the fewest clicks, which is roughly why nobody says it.
Who pays for this
The curriculum is free and carries no advertising. There are no affiliate links, no referral codes, and no paid placements anywhere on this site, and no vendor, laboratory, testing service, or clinic has paid for, reviewed, or influenced a word of it.
This is not a moral posture so much as a structural one. The moment a curriculum's revenue depends on people buying the subject it teaches, it starts bending, usually without anyone deciding to bend it. Removing the mechanism is easier than resisting it.
The Discord is a separate matter and deserves a separate sentence, because money does move inside the community: members organise group buys and discuss resellers. Nobody running this project takes a cut of any of it. No commission on group buys, no organiser fee, no payment or free product from any seller discussed in the server, no charge for a vendor being mentioned, and nothing from the raffles. The people administering the school and the server do so at no profit to themselves, and they cover what it costs to run.
We would rather state that plainly than let you infer it, because in this space the assumption runs the other way and it is usually correct. If the arrangement ever changes, it will be written on this page before it changes, not after somebody notices.
Corrections
Lessons carry a revision date. When we get something wrong, we change the page and say what changed. We do not quietly edit and move on, because a curriculum that revises itself invisibly cannot be trusted by anyone reading it a second time.
If you find an error (a wrong figure, a misread study, a conversion that does not check out, a claim stated more strongly than the evidence supports), raise it in the Discord in the corrections channel. Specific and cited beats vague and confident. We would rather be corrected in public than be wrong in public for longer.
